Colors
I wear a gold cross
Around my neck
I find it with my finger
As I'm praying for the rain
It’s a hard life
Working in the fields every day

I’m not the kind of men
Who would start a fight
But mess with my family
And you'll might not make it back
I fear the lord above
But never take no **** from no man

I'm blessed with many gifts
That money just can't buy
And I'll try my best to share them all with you
And if I still got strength
For the crazy friday night light
I'll take my baby dancing ‘till morning light

I still remember
The color of the dress you wear that night
I still remember
The sweetness of your sunday morning smile
As you ask me if I'll like to stay a while

And I know for the rest of my life
Its only gonna be you
And I will never ask you to change
You are the colors of my life

I’m not the kind of man you see in magazines
Like those funny guy’s and their fake beers
I don’t need no one to tell me what to wear
And I pity the fool who cuts a hole in my new jeans
I was raised in a house without internet
Still, I had all I needed back in the ol’ shed
Back then when peoples were really singing
There truths would come out thru my old Radio

And if the stars will make it happen
Just for a moment yesterdays
