Biography
Paul Murphy is a singer-songwriter from Ireland. His songs are genuine and from the heart.
A major part of the Songwriters Circle in Ireland, Paul has used this great platform to hone and showcase his songwriting ability. Paul has also performed on BBC Radio several times including once as part of BBC Music Live. In addition he has performed as part of the "Belfast-Nashville Songwriters Festival". His music takes influence from Folk, Soul, Americana, Gospel, Country and Rock.
Paul's music has reached the finals of the 'ISC songwriting competition', the 'Unsigned Only Competition' judged by music industry professionals and the 'Belfast Nashville singer-songwriter competition'. He released the E.P 'Let the Truth Cry Out' in the fall of 2013. This featured the critically acclaimed song 'There's a Place' which was playlisted on UCB radio. He has had regular radio airplay with songs such as the single 'Money Train' and his new albums title track 'Built to Last' on BBC radio among others.
Paul released his debut album 'Built to Last' in October 2017. This featured some of the most talented musicians in Ireland including 'Dave Malloy' on electric guitar and 'Ronnie O'Flynn' on bass, the album was produced by renowned artist 'Ben Reel'. Paul has begun a concert schedule to promote the album which was kicked off by a successful album launch concert.
