Railroad Cross
East bound train on a railroad cross, all the days keep fading by.
Something been coming but a head full of frost, got lost and I don't know why.
She keeps loving and I keep running and we're cradled up in the lie.
The bed she lays three days away and all the miles don't make it right.

All the ladies say to me she ain't nothing but a cross to bear.
But all alone she waits for me and don't know that I'll soon be there.

All the gravel and the grass don't make a track un-broke when I beat it back home.
Re-wrote my head I'm gonna wind up living all alone.
She saved me from some paradise so many days long ago.
But I broke a little promise that I meant to keep for a life out on the road.

All the ladies say to me she ain't nothing but a cross to bear.
But all alone she waits for me and don't know that I'll soon be there.

All the ladies say to me she ain't nothing but a cross to bear.
But all alone she waits for me and don't know that I'll soon be there.
