Biography

Tricia Eaves was born in New Mexico, raised on a cattle ranch and now lives in her ancestrial home in East Tennessee. She returned to teach at East Tennessee State University in the Bluegrass and Roots Program.

Tricias music can be described in one word...authentic.

As in her last album Old Trails, New Beginnings, music tells the story of her life and is available on Spotify and other streaming services. Every song is a piece of her and the life she has lived. From the time her Scots Irish kin braved the seas and came to America (New Dawn) to her life growing up on the ranch,“Rancho Alegre,” and now moving back to her ancestral home in East Tennessee, her music is inspired by and reflects her life. She is driven to tell her story.

The New Dawn Project, 18 tracks, is dedicated to her Mother Ermalea Julia Eaves (who wisely forced her to learn piano) and Father Jesse Willard Eaves. They encouraged her to be an independent free spirit who loves good horses, good dogs and dear friends. She is God fearing, fiercely loyal and a truth speaker.

Tricia feels her music is given to her by a higher power and she eternally grateful. We hope you enjoy each creation cause it’s all hers from initial thought to lyrics, melody, selection of musicians, engineers, arrangements, mixing and graphic arts.
