Thunder was written by Orlando Pender, Jr.
He says he heard his minister talking about an African preacher ministering to his people about Thunder. When Catfish says he heard the word "Thunder" it reminds him of when he says "Amen" to God's word. He says there is an immediate powerful "Roar" and Thunder in the spirit. He says the word "Thunder" is not about the physical storm most people would normally associate the word with. Instead he see's it as a burst of faith, belief and authority in knowing God is God and Jesus is Lord.

CATFISH'S BIOGRAPHY
Starting as a young child singing at service stations for nickels and dimes, owned by his mentor Hurbert Woodard... Catfish has always had a loved for music.
He attended and graduated from Darden High School in North Carolina in 1963.
After graduating, Orlando joined the United State Marine Corps. and served America for 4 years in the Vietnam Era.
In 1967, Orlando was honorably discharged and then moved to Boston, Massachusetts.
Orlando reconnected with music in Boston and started his first band named "King Bisquit Blues Band."
Catfish performed all throughout the Northeastern Region and entertained thousands all over New York, Massachusetts and Maine.
Catfish wanted to take his career to another level and decided to relocated once again to the west coast. Catfish began studying music composition, vocals and mastered the skill of playing a bass guitar.
In San Francisco, is where Orlando became apart of the Hippie Movement/Era. He started his second band, and named it the "Big O, New Wave Band." During this time, Catfish sang all of the lead vocal, played bass guitar and composed all of the band's music.
Soon after, he decided to work with other local artists and formed a third band naming it, "Home Cooking."
From the early 1970's up until 1986 Catfish performed at dozens of live entertainment venues all over California.
In December of 1986 Catfish had a God-wakening experience. Catfish says that the Lord spoke to him and told him that he was singing the "wrong music." That's when Catfish re-dedicated his life to the Lord and began making Gospel music. Since that day, 30 years later... Catfish has been singing, writing and performing songs for the Lord!
