Little Creek (2:45)
LITTLE CREEK
BY ALEXIS M. THOMPSON
Little Creek wrapped round my shins
And just like love, there I fell in
I fell into Little Creek and
The seeds from the pines stuck to my skin
Oh, the needles from the pines, they kissed me!
Heron leaves the branch she’s in
It falls into the creek we’re in
It splashes you right on your nose and
I taste its water on my chin
Then, like that creek you kiss me!
Oh, all I can see when I taste that water
Is how we danced among blue bonnets
I hope you know that was all I ever wanted
Oh, all I can see when I taste that water
Is how we danced among blue bonnets
I hope you know that was all I ever wanted
