Biography

None of the Above has been playing music in the triad area of North Carolina for over twenty years. Working with traditional bluegrass instrumentation, the band has developed a unique sound that includes elements and material from a variety of styles.
NOTA has six projects currently available: “…all points in between” (self-produced on Back 40 Records) and “make a note” & “Illusions” both on MasterShield Records and “Turn the Page”, “Calvary” & "Scarecrows & Devils" on After 5 Records. We have also been featured on four compilation CD’s over the past few years, most notably the “Our State Down Home In North Carolina” CD produced by Our State magazine. NOTA’s current line-up has been together for about eight years. We play music with traditional roots, which is then put through the band’s own special “filter” to produce a sound that gives meaning to our name: None of the Above.
