The People Wondered

The People Wondered. I have always been fascinated by the old style of Shape Note Gospel songs as practiced by the Mountain Christian Communities in the Applachians and the Blue Ridge Mountains. My idea for this song is based on the concept of the 'Doubting Thomas', and the time when Jesus was preaching his message to the people of the Holy Land, and the thought that even when they heard his word 'first-hand', many still were left 'wondering'. I did my best to stay in tune without my trusty Gibson, and Wendy Buckner and Keith Sewell lent their sweet Vocals to this Acapella track.
