with the help of many talented musicians, including my brothers Rick and Archie Bogaardt, and an incredibly talented pianist, Justin Glibbery, who really breathed a "soul" into this beautiful song, and inspired me to sing this song with all the passion, tenderness and feeling that I could muster. This song was a challenge to produce and is a re-make of an award-winning soundtrack from the film documentary "Alberta on the Northside".
I wrote the song for this documentary, with the original title being, "The Summerwind Song", which ended up winning a GOLD CAMERA AWARD in Chicago, Illinois. According to the Executive Producer, for the Alberta Government, Mr. C.N. Ross, "the music produced for this film, by Bil & Ben Bogaardt, was the determining factor, in this documentary, winning the award." Ben wrote the other song entitled "So Much, Yet so Little", which was also part of the success of winning the GOLD CAMERA AWARD for the Government of Alberta.

It took many years, to put the right team together, and I had to be patient, but relentless in the pursuit of what I wanted in this song, but I believe that this song will always stand up to the test of time.

It is my legacy to my wife, Patricia, my children, my grandchildren and other family members. I hope this will resonate what a person goes through in life, when un-wanted circumstances force you to be away from your loved one.
