06. Stranger On The Street
STRANGER ON THE STREET

Says I’m a stranger in this land,
don’t know one know who the hell I am,
just a stranger on the street,
just another soul that you don’t want to meet.

This coast I’ve wandered up and down,
Lord knows what brought me to this town,
where it’s cold but you can feel the heat,
on any old stranger on the street.

I’ll go down to the highway side,
and bait my thumb and hitch a ride,
down to my southern home so sweet,
no more to be a stranger on the street.

Says I’m a stranger in this land
don’t know one know who the hell I am,
just a stranger on the street,
just another soul that you don’t want to meet.
