Biography
Natalie Tomlinson (b. May 15, 1998) is a traditional bluegrass fiddle player from the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky. Her biggest influences are Kenny Baker, Curly Ray Cline, Paul Warren, Tommy Jackson, and Chubby Wise. She also plays the guitar and mandolin. In addition to performing with bands like the traditional, hard-driving, Whitesburg-based bluegrass band Sunrise Ridge weekly, she's worked at the Jenny Wiley Theatre in Pikeville, KY and has performed at places such as the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort, KY and the historic Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, VA.

She graduated from HCTC's Kentucky School of Bluegrass & Traditional Music's professional studio artist program with honors in May 2018 and will be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business management to help further her career. Natalie wants to perform with as many people as she can, and her biggest dream is to perform on the Grand Ole Opry. She's determined to make it happen!

ABOUT "LUCKY" 13:

SPECIAL GUESTS: Virgil Bowlin, Scott Napier, Dean Osborne, Bobby Osborne, Lauren and Leanna Price (The Price Sisters), Jim Harp, and Sunrise Ridge! I cannot THANK YOU all enough for being a part of this. I know many of you volunteered so much of your time to help me out. You have no idea how much this means to me and how much I appreciate each and every one of you.

This album began as a class project in the Recording IV class at HCTC's Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music. As time went on, we decided to shoot for a full album. We did it! Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered: January - May 2018 by Virgil Bowlin and Natalie Tomlinson.

In addition to having some awesome friends as guests, one of the highlights of this album was having the opportunity and honor to record with "Blackie," the historic black fiddle of my favorite fiddle player, Kenny Baker, on "Road to Columbus" and "Jerusalem Ridge."

This album really is a "dream come true!"
