"Last Call" - Ludlow Creek
At the Saint Francis Tavern,
on Pearl and 54,
the barkeep shouts the last call,
there's time for just one more.

And Michael says to Gabriel,
"Drink up, we've stayed too long",
and they stumble out into the nightime,
to catch a cab and head on home.

And as they wait, Mike lights a smoke,
then talks of these hard days.
Tells Gabe a little drunkenly,
it's time to change our ways.

Tonite I think I'll grab my wings,
I've hidden neath my bed,
and in the morning fly up over here
there's things that must be said".

Like, right is right and wrong is wrong,
no matter what some say.
And truth is true and love is love,
and it will always be that way.

Mike, you must be kiddin' man,
when they see you in the air,
they'll shoot you down just for fun,
and leave you laying there.

But Michael would not be swayed,
I've not spoken for too long now,
it's my job to do the right thing,
and show all the people how.

Mike told Gabriel good nite,
and in the morning put on those wings,
and as people watched down on 5th Ave,
he began to sing.

The crowd stood still and listened,
to the man with golden wings,
at first they just stayed silent,
but then they too began to sing.

Right is right and wrong is wrong,
no matter what some say.
And truth is true and love is love,
and it will always be that way.
Yeah truth is true and love is love,
and it will always be that way.
