About Jonathan Thomas (Mistah Jonnn Jay )
For over 10 yrs, starting in 1985, Jonathan was a DJ assistant in Queens, NY. It was while watching people's reaction to different songs on the dance floor (at various clubs and parties), where Jonathan found his interest in the art of music production and beat making. To begin his newfound venture, Jonathan would read music magazines and books, listen to the radio, and vinyl shop to keep abreast with whats going on in pop music culture. Though Jonathan may not a household name, he continues to grind and perfect his craft while working with up and coming artist. Slowly but surely, Jonathan is becoming known in small circles of head-bangers as a deliverer of straight forward, but well-crafted Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, and Reggae beats.
