The Saddest Picture Of Me
The most singer-songwriter I can be at this point in my career. Like all my songs it’s a true story of the loneliness you can experience traveling from town to town. Everything from offering to buy a stranger a drink, outwardly speaking to fellow travelers and running the risk of bothering them all the while hoping to make a temporary friend and tell them your story. While it’s the longest song on the album, no matter how we rearranged it, it came out to be about the same length and we decided it leave it alone and not alter the storyline. The solo section features some beautiful signature female “Ooo’s”, some sad slide guitar work from Will McFarlane tucked under the guitar solo and punctuates the end of side B.
