Biography
Michael Tyrone Boyd was born in Baltimore, MD . He was later raised as an orphan in various foster homes there. At the age of 6 he began to play the piano, and later at the age of 9 he had a vision of singing on the stage. At the age of 15 he wrote his very first song. And later at 17 he joined the US Navy, and it was while in the military,that, he formed his first band.

After his honorable discharge he went to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his musical dreams. He later attended Los Angeles City College where he majored in music and minored in Theater. He received extensive vocal training, and sang in the college choir.
And eventually, Michael was featured as a solo artist in the college recitals.
After graduation Michael began to get singing gigs in various musical productions. One of them was staged by the legendary Robert "Bumps" Blackwell, who is created as being the discoverer of Little Richard and later the mentor and producer of Sam Cooke.
Michael had the rare opportunity of briefly being mentored by Mr. Blackwell.

A few years later Michael was featured as an actor in the Charles Bronson film: "Death Wish 2", in which he played the character "Thug 1"

Michael has also been seen on cable television for a number of years as a performer on a childrens puppet show. A few years later he became the producer and host of his own show in Los Angeles entitled: "Spiritual Thinking With Michael Boyd which ran for 5 seasons.

In addition Michael has performed on public radio, festivals, and the church as well. In addition he's performed in famous nightclubs such as "The Palomino", The "Viper Room" on the Sunset Strip as well as "Spaceland" in Silverlake, CA.

Michael has also produced, written, arranged and sings on his recent CD "Soul Survivor 1.
Michael is presently engaged in the production of his second forthcoming CD which will be comprised of R&B/Pop Love songs.
