I woke up tired this morning cause I traveled so far in my dreams
I woke up tired but inspired by everything I'd seen
I sit up in bed shaking my head and wondering what it really means
They come to visit me when I'm sleeping

I was floating on a Southwestern Pilgrimage with Carolina in the Pines
Hanging out with Mr. Bojangles we were dancing on a dime
Three Faces West singing Blackbird on an Outpost Saturday night
It's a wild and crazy life

They lie outside my reach beyond reality
I try and capture all the images I see
I write down what I remember then it all comes back to me

They say that your dreams can carry you anywhere you wanna go
And all of the people passing through they're a part of me I know
I find myself way up at Bitter Creek music floating from the Motherlode
Miner's gold and silver streams
