A song in the old North Mississippi Hill Country Fife & Drum tradition.
It's mainly influenced by the playing of Ed and Lonnie Young, and references Otha Turner and Napoleon Strickland, all great exponents of this unique regional style of music, which has now all but disappeared.
The 'drum' is an empty plastic bin. There are two wooden flutes, a high G, and a low D, two unison vocals, and handclaps.
