Biography

I've been a professional musician for over 20 years, with a varied career involving many different genres and musical 'situations'. Blues has always been a mainstay of music, the central pillar from the first time I heard Sonny Boy Williamson play harp when I was 16. He inspired me to start learning the harmonica, and delving deeper into the music.
In addition to playing the harmonica, I also sing, with a warm, soulful baritone.
I am a song writer and composer, having written dozens of songs and released many albums. I have composed original music for the theatre, film and television.
In the early 1990s, I won the British Blues Harmonica Championship.

I am endorsed by the world's oldest harmonica manufacturer, Seydel, based in Klingenthal, Germany. They are the oldest, and the best!
