2. Bon Garçon (Traditional) 3:17 Uptempo. A lively, harmony filled interpretation of an old French song in which a young girl hides in a well and tells off a group of soldiers on horseback. I learned this from an archival recording of singer Peter Chiasson, collected in1944 by folklorist Helen Creighton. Featuring Peter’s grand-daughter, Hilda Chiasson on piano, his cousin, Nicole Deveau on vocals, Colin Grant (fiddle), and Bradley Murphy (bodhràn).
