Tribute to Delbert McClinton

*** Track 10. - "Come And Go (Delbert McClinton Tribute)" Written by Jeanette Markey and Eric Latina.
A tribute to one Delbert McClinton is never going to be a staid affair as this Lubbock Texas born Blues man doesn't take his Blues lightly. Markey lays down some very raucous Texas Roadhouse style vocals that would strip the paint from the walls of the very establishments that McClinton paid his dues at. Never ones to shy away from laying down a great track Markey and Latina do so with this one that is power packed and has the kick of an ornery mule for good measure. Big bold sound that just rolls along hard and fast resplendent with the trumpet from Williamson and sax from Moffet this one is full bodied like a great whiskey. Latina's guitar is right there and in your face so don't get in the way as it is coming on through like a greyhound bus. Big muscular sound pounds out from rhythm section alumni Finnie on drums and Marcus on bass letting you know just who is driving this one along. The sound leaves you in no uncertain terms that this is an all in assault on the senses as Wickline lays the very wicked keys on us for good measure. Texas Roadhouse never sounded so good so look out yáll Markey and Latina are in town! Peter Merrett- PBS
