Never one to be far from the Mississippi Markey takes us for some good ole food of the Soul with a big ole helping of blistering slide guitar for Latina for good measure. If gumbo can sustain you an keep your belly full then this song can keep your soul full of what you need to get by day by day. Rich and potent lyrics with Markey's vocals resplendent with a touch of the Voodoo Queen for good measure. Casting a spell over the listener Markey certainly casts her spell far and wide as she lays down her vocals powerfully and uncompromisingly. Latina's guitar has a devilish moan as if he is under Markey's spell but then again are't we all as she is our Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Big bold rhythm section from drummer Finnie and bassist Marcus propel the beat as Wickline weaves his own magic on keyboards. What an amazing track that is just so engaging that it leaves you wanting more. Brilliantly written song with amazing charts and orchestration. One that will be a firm favourite for any Blues fan.
