That One Still Comes Up

There ain’t no picture that ever could tell
How good it was or how hard I fell
For you in that sundress
Down on the coast
The way we held each other so tight
Feet in the sand your hand in mine
Our hearts were racin fast
But we took it slow
On the horizon a golden sky was
Calling out our names
We knew life was gonna change
In that moment the way the light fell on us
We knew one night would never be enough
Of all the sunsets that we’ve seen since then
That one still comes up
Dinner that night in a beachfront dive
Two burnt burgers and a bottle of wine
We just sat there laughing
And split the fries
Later that night with the windows open
The sound of your breathing, the wind on the ocean
Every time I think of it
It takes me back in time
CHORUS
Watchin the moon that night as it rose
Is the only memory that even comes close
CHORUS
