Callin' All Memories
Calling All Memories

Cajun queen dark tan skin
Hazel eyes that would suck you in
Like a sinkhole in the middle of the marsh
Long black hair free and wild
Turned this man into a child
I fell that fall with the leaves and all of my heart
She loved to watch the pelicans fly
Over the Atchafalay a Basin
So I’m out on this bridge tonight
Slowly recreatin
Calling all memories
Of our love that used to be
With a bottle of Jack and a Louisiana breeze
Diggin it up and siftin through
Hurts so bad but feels good too
She ain’t comin back but at least a man can dream
Calling all memories
Three long years have slipped away
The pain still cuts like yesterday
You’d think by now she wouldn’t own my soul
Lord I know the past is the past
Dust to dust, ash to ash
I don’t wanna hold on but I just can’t let her go
Think I’ll stay here till the morning
Watch the fogbank roll on in
Raise a toast to my baby’s ghost
And start all over again
CHORUS
