Fall Real Far (1929)
I’ve been here for
10 short years
Made our mark
On this hemisphere

In a neighbourhood
That’s paved with gold
It’s hard to say farewell

When times get tough
To make a go
It’s up and down
It’s so cyclical

You’ll find the friends you meet
Are the friends you’ll keep
If you work real hard

Reminds me of 1929

Now it’s time for me to
Move along
To pack my things
To end my song
Better to now
Before they cut the cord
And you fall real far

Memories
Of Yesterday
In our big backyard
Where the children played

Did what we wanted
Did what we pleased
Where you can’t see the forest
For the Maple trees

But it’s more important
To have bellies filled
With no clothes on the back
You’d catch your death of chill

You’ll find the friends who stare
Aren’t the friends who care
If you think real hard

Reminds me of 1929
