I hope my somedays
Haven't gone by
I've had some plans laid
Out for my life
Can't hurry dreams
Still on their way
Just have to believe
They're closer each day

Ladders are climbed rung by rung
In time we move up
Some crawl and some will run
Or fall
I got my feet upon the steps
And I'm ready to take the next
My hands are on the rails
Holding on

If I held the future

And had a true picture
Of where I'll land
There'd be no need
For wishes or faith
I am no seer
