If I could fly away over mountain
If I could fly away over the sea
If I could fly away over the mountain
Would my love be waiting for me…
Over one sweet day he loved me
I was a captive bird ‘til he set me free
Under a moonlight night he loved me
Now he lies in my memory

Take me back to that mountain
Take me back across the sea
Take me back so I can love him
Cos that is where I long to be…

And if one fine day I shall meet him
If it lies with destiny
Though it rains in my heart I will greet him
For in that moment I’ll be free
