No Ordinary Girl
Lori Greco is not only a singer/songwriter; but is also a vocal and piano teacher. As part of her work she deals with young girls and often hears about their insecurities.

In this song, Lori wanted to reach out to these very same girls who may be suffering form low self esteem and peer pressure and to those who also feel that without a guy at their side, that they may be a failure in the eyes of their peers. This song was written to empower this very age group, to see the beauty they have within and if indeed they are rejected by a boy, that the reason was that "he" could never see the beauty in her.

Lori's belief is that each person is an extraordinary individual who needs to be confident in their own skin first before being able to accept love and respect from others. Written in a pop style with a "Cold Play" style introduction, the backing vocals reiterate the fact that "He Doesn't Understand the woman I am" whilst the lead vocal is emphatic about being "No ordinary Girl"

In the final line, reminiscent of a Cyndi Lauper tone, the "I'm No ordinary Girl" line is not only emphatic but by the end of the song, the girl is truly empowered by finding the stronger woman within.
