My mom passed away in 2001, and in her last days gave me a set of wooden prayer beads she wanted me to have. I kept them on the desk in my studio for a long time. One day I started thinking about what those prayer beads meant to mom…and eventually this song came to be. This tune holds special meaning to John Miller as well as myself…as we have both experienced similar loss in our lives.
