Sometimes right out of nowhere, the world comes crashing down on me
‘til there’s a weight on my shoulders that brings me to my knees.
I get so weak and feel as helpless as a leaf in the autumn wind
As I fall I ask this question time and time again.

How far can branches bend before they finally break?
How much grief and pain can but one heart take?

Sometimes I’m unaware that I’ve fallen from God’s grace
Until my eyes become so blind, I lose sight of my faith.
When I no longer feel the presence of the one who makes me whole
I beg the Lord to reach down and catch me as I fall.
