I was at a Bluegrass festival with my family in Keene NH back in the mid- 1980’s and saw Larry Sparks for the first time. His performance was a life changing experience for me personally. That weekend it poured down so much rain, it flooded the river that ran through the town…almost washing out the Main Street bridge. Fortunately we made it home safely…a few weeks later I wrote this song.
