Liza , a triple Australian Blues Chain award winner has been described as having “ONE HELL OF A VOICE ranging from the raunchy, deep rich tones of Etta James to the high clear heights of Aretha Frankin and the soulful cry of Gladys Knight…. She was the only female in the finals for Australian Blues Artist of the year in 2016, and her recent CD “Give You Hell’ a mix of Blues, Funk Jazz and Gospel, reached no 2 and stayed on the Blues charts for over a year

Liza grew up in a musical household steeped in Gospel and Church music. She played several instruments but only felt at home when singing her heart out to a blues tune..She moved to Sydney when young and bathed herself in Blues, Jazz, Soulful swamp and roots music…..while singing with Richard Clapton, Jon Stevens and Tony Neville ( Neville Brothers) among others and touring major Festivals.

With shades of a 1940’s Torch singer, but with a wicked sense of humour, and a powerful voice, her stage presence has been known to border on the burlesque side of New Orleans , her songs filled with tales of love, lust and despair all told with verve and honesty.

Liza has toured for the last 3 years as the lead in theatre rockumentary Pearl – The Janis Joplin Story to stunning reviews, as well as feat in 2 shows at the Sydney opera House in the Billy Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald 100 year tribute shows.
