Daffodil
Writers: Donna Ulisse, Rick Stanley
He met her one April year ago
Lost his heart when she said hello
Ask her daddy for her hand by May
By summers end, she held a lace bouquet
Years have flown and they have grown older
Though she feels as new as April when he holds her
Daffodil, he calls her Daffodil
Hair as gold as sunshine
Eyes as green as mountain hills
He found her in the springtime
And love's blooming for them still
So he calls her his lovely Daffodil
Winters comin' on, it's growin' cold
But her sunny smile still warms up his soul
Though seasons come around now way too fast
Some part of April is always gonna last
Cause Father Time can't change his mind about her
She still looks as fresh as that pretty, yellow flower
Daffodil, he calls her Daffodil
Hair as gold as sunshine
Eyes as green as mountain hills
He found her in the springtime
And love's blooming for them still
So he calls her his lovely Daffodil
