INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SONG:

This song was inspired by all of the everyday heroes...the kind compassionate people we rarely if ever get to hear of. As I was viewing videos on Youtube I came across an enourmous amount of people who had done things nothing short of spectacular! This is where I first heard of "Ryan's Well" started by a then 6 year old Ryan, who had single handedly created a foundation to help bring clean water to Uganda. This is where I first heard of the "Free Hugs Campaign" started by Juan Mann, a simple yet profoundly moving idea...to give a hug where needed, to total strangers. I came across Steven and Elaine and their "Rolling Dog Ranch" they left EVERYTHING behind and all that they knew to start a shelter for animals, they take in abused and abandoned animals and care for them. The movie "Kickin IT" a documentary style movie about two men who started "The Homeless Soccer League" to give homeless men a chance to belong, to be a part of something and along the way they won a world cup and their "spirit"...On and on it went, I was so angry at the fact that trivial meaningless events..."whose dating who", gossip and of course all the violence, make headlines. We never celebrate the acts no matter how small, and the LIVES of the people all around us who do make this world a better place.

This song is a celebration, of all that is love, compassion, kindness... all that we still are and all that makes this world a far better place than we have ever been made to believe. I thank all of you who are doing things in your own special way......Blessings, Leila
