Southwest of Eden
I'm southwest of Eden, north of east L.A.
run out of time, run out of cash, run out of gas
run out of songs to play.
Looked inside my heart, just to find.
maybe one more thing to say.
I'm southwest of Eden, north of east L.A.

She stole my heart like a gambler cheats at stud.
Left me bruised and battered, face down in the mud.
When the sun come up, I looked around, found myself in that foreign little town, somewhere southwest of Eden, north of east L.A.

Now all the things my Daddy said,
they come pouring into my empty head.
Oh I wish that I could be with him today.
But he's southwest of Eden and I'm somewhere north of East L.A.

When my time runs out I hope I had my say.
And to all those fine people that I've met along the way.
If they should ask you where I've been, and if I lead a life of sin, just tell them I was southwest of Eden, north of East L.A.

Cause if they ask me where I've been, or if I lead a life of sin,
I tell em I was Southwest of Eden, north of East L.A.
Yeah...Southwest of Eden, north of East L.A.
