Precious memories of long ago
My mama's smiling face
My daddy by the fireplace
Kentucky Christmas, makes me wanta go home

I can see the decorations hanging from the Christmas tree
Everyone is special with a special memory
Running to the window watching for the snow to fall
Laughing, wrapping presents
Hanging up the mistletoe

How I miss the fun we had and all the love we used to share
Every Christmas card I write just makes me wanta be there
I can see my mama laughing
Smell the scent of homemade pie
Just thinking about it brings a teardrop to my eye
