Lamelle
My Lamelle
She came from far away
She came to stay

Thin as the willow,
Eyes that hint of bluish smoke,
Hair like a pillow,
City girl from country folk.

Came across the ocean blue,
But not in a boat.
Had to have her, she said "I do",
But not 'til she saw my float.

My Lamelle
She came from far away
My Lamelle
My belle she came to stay

My Lamelle
She came from far away My Lamelle
My belle she came to stay

Had our fun and had our brood,
Made our bread even 'had a few',
Made a home of brick and wood,
Vacationed in Saskatoon.
City girl she's cut from oak,
City girl from country folk.

My Lamelle
She came from far away My Lamelle
My belle she stayed.
