When God looked down where the devil reigns
He saw a lot of people carrying chains
They were up digging holes with their very own sin
Gonna be the grave the devil puts them in

They were bound by hate
They were bound by greed
They were slaves to the things that they just don’t need

Well, the devil said, “Son, you belong to me.”
I cried to the Lord, “Will you set me free?”
“I don’t want to die and end up in hell.”
“Forgive me, Lord.” That’s when the shackles fell.
