We're Gonna March
We’re at a unique point in history / Where we don’t have to listen to the things we see / We just listen to what we’re told to believe / We let it pass for news every day. / We’re gonna march on Washington, / we’re gonna march on St. Paul / We’re gonna let the Grand ‘Ol Party know that we can’t be bought. // So take our fathers’ old document / And set it on fire / The leading politician’s of the day would argue / That the message has expired. / We’re gonna march on Washington, / we’re gonna march on St. Paul / We’re gonna let the politician’s know just where their fight comes from. // The place to hide has always been out in open spaces / And what is, really isn’t, it’s called reality creation / And if you think for one minute we’re independently governing this nation / Well then friend embrace the messanger, you are badly mistaken. / We’re gonna march on New York City, / up to the U.N. / And to the Council on Foreign Relations. Speak up! Illuminate their plans. // It’s a sad truth, but liberation is often disguised occupation / And it don’t take no prophet to speak out against the road that we’ve taken / But if ever was a day that the people needed a beacon / To shine light on the truth that we’ve become an imperialistic nation, it’s now! /We’re gonna march on New York City, / up to the U.N. / And to any office bent on mass manipulation against which we’ll take our stand. // But this is bigger than our empire failing, / this is bigger than all our freedoms they’re taking. / For even now the very heavens are shaking, / the kingdom advances, hear the whole of creation moan. // I’ve heard about a church towards the end of days / Drunk on the saints’ spilt blood / And about a certain mark they’ll make / Or just inject into your arm. / We’re gonna march for liberty, / we’re gonna march for our souls / For this war that we’re here to wage ain’t just ‘gainst flesh and bones. // So let us keep our eyes open wide / The seasons are changing that’s hard to deny / Don’t wait for the day when you’re shackled and chained up inside / To stand up for your country, your Savior, your rights. / We’re gonna march for liberty, / we’re gonna march for our souls / We’re gonna cast dark powers of this world down to the pits below.
