Old Habits
Old Habits
by Kat Wallace

Here we are now, back at square one,
All the rules we made becoming undone
Remind me of the times we found our way
And all the times we tried to stay,
It’d be foolish to try today.

So leave me, let me be,
Turn around now it's not fair to me,
But first say all the things you couldn’t say,
The worlds you silently prayed
To love me again one day

Ooh, Old Habits feeling like new,
Old habits feeling like new, feeling like
We’re never through.

Walk with me hand in hand,
For the last time, I understand,
Tell me it’s going to be alright,
The moon will still rise at night.
In the morning you’ll do what’s right.

You’ll have to be mean and cruel,
Learn to lie and play it all cool,
Put away those eyes, you cast a spell.
You do it to me so well,
But how do I make you feel?

Ooh, Old Habits feeling like new,
Old habits feeling like new, feeling like
We’re never through.

I can’t turn the radio on,
Not without hearing our song,
Everything that plays we’ve sang before,
Every note, every chord.
It’s more than my heart can afford.

You’re not gonna have me again.
Please know that, don’t pretend.
It’s getting hard to see you around
At the places we used to crowd.
In the morning it's quiet now.
