Rainbow
I’ve heard that there is gold
At the end of a rainbow
But all I’ve seen are blues
And my eyes are red from crying over you
I’ve see the green of jealousy
And the empty hue love leaves
I just want to know
How to find the gold
If I wait, will it all get better?
At the end of the rainbow
I’m hoping that there’s gold
At the end of the rainbow
I’ve had the purple scars
That linger after love’s torn from your heart
I’ve seen the black of lonely nights
And the blaring morning light
I just ask of you
Where does this all lead to?
If I wait, will it all get better?
At the end of the rainbow
And then I found the gold
How could I have known
That so ironically
The treasure’s been inside of me
I have the colors that flash bold
Vibrant in my soul
I take the brush in my own hand
I’m painting colors grand
On this side of the rainbow . . . the rainbow . . .
On this side . . . . of the rainbow, rainbow, rainbow
