1. FLY: (3:23) Mid Tempo. A Throwback to 90’s Indie-rock with shuffled, funk drums, electric guitar and synthetic sounds mixed with acoustic guitar. When I was in college, I hung out with the wrong crowd which led to a journey of drug use (drugs that I would never imagine using) that caused me to procrastinate, waste time and feel sorrow more than ever. I didn’t recognize myself anymore. Eventually I woke up and walked away from the wrong people and continued forward with a much better life. This phase inspired me to write a song that discusses the dark side of drug use if you let it go too far. Sure, you may feel like you’re flying but what happens when you land? Words used: “Anal Retentive”,“Stoned”, “High”, “Hallucinogens”.
