Julie Theroux /Chip Cope
JT & ThunderHill is an energetic, contemporary acoustic group based in Northwest Ohio. Julie Theroux, (JT), who also tours nationally with the New Christy Minstrels, is the crown jewel of the band. Julie plays rhythm guitar and her mystical voice enchants everyone every time she steps up to a mic. ThunderHill is made up of three multi-instrumentalists. Chip Cope, also a touring member of the New Christy Minstrels, plays lead guitar, dobro, mandolin, banjo and sings. Cope's sons Ben and Hampton all take turns performing with the group. Michigan native, Nathan Nisley, plays banjo and guitar for JTTH. Their love of pop, rock, country, blues and bluegrass gives JT & Thunder Hill a deep reservoir of inspiration to draw from.
From Bluegrass Today, "JT & ThunderHill is a new band in the Ohio/Michigan area. They will become a force in 2020."
When not touring with her band, JT & ThunderHill, Julie is busy in her local community as a business owner and world class athlete. She is a triathlete and she has completed 12 full Ironman triathlons. She qualified for and competed in the world championship Ironman in Kona, Hawaii. She owns three bicycle shops in NW Ohio.
