I needed this song to poke some holes in my self-seriousness. I originally recorded the demo for this track in our apartment bathroom in the early pandemic. I had just bought this four track recorder and after singing through the song once while strumming chords I wanted to use the other three tracks for something, but didn’t have any other instruments on hand. So I wrote this three part guitar melody, and for me that ended up making the track worth recording. Then I had a bunch of friends drop by the studio to add harmony to the chorus, it was a fun track to record.
