The Johnny Brannen Band is bringing a hard rocking stage show to nightclubs and parties all over south Georgia! This is one of those rare three piece bands where all three members sing, which adds a great deal to their sonic diversity. These guys are all seasoned musicians returning to the stage with an interesting array of influences that includes The Black Crowes, 3 Doors Down, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Kenny Chesney, Gary Allan, Waylon Jennings, and too many others to name. Johnny describes their music as "hard- driving bluesy rock with a little bit of country twang in places. Our music will appeal to anyone who likes to hear a variety of styles, and we are continuously adding new cover songs to keep it fresh!"

Johnny has released 14 of his own home-recorded songs so far through CD Baby, Jango, Reverbnation, TweeWoo, and many other related websites including iTunes and Rhapsody. As of early 2012, his work is ranked #4 out of all the artists based near Statesboro, GA on Reverbnation, partially due to over 600 fans having shown an interest in his music. Johnny has also built up a fanbase of about 2800 friends on Facebook, and many on Myspace and Twitter as well. Over 450 viewers have checked out his home videos on Youtube. Johnny says"I can't tell how much I appreciate everyone who has responded positively to my online networking efforts, and I hope our new band recieves that same amount of enthusiasm from listeners and viewers."

He also plans to continue Airplaydirect.com for radio exposure across the US and around the world. Brannen sent out over 3000 emails to radio station DJs and executives during 2011. Even though most larger radio stations don't play randomly submitted material, several responded favorably. This feedback and praise from a few that were able to play the submissions let Johnny know that he has written some good songs that should be developed and polished further by a full band.

One of the bands Johnny played in over the years was Citizen X which also featured Scott Campbell on drums, while they were students at Georgia Southern University. The guys stepped away from performing live for a while, but you wouldn't know it by the eclectic, well delivered collection of cover songs that keep the crowd wanting more. There's enough variety there to please everyone from the most engaged dance floor junkie to the detached back booth of conversationalists.

Johnny has played a number of recent acoustic gigs, including some at The Jade Rabbit Bar & Grill. Jade Rabbit owner Greg Moore told the guys "you play music people can really get into a lot more than most of the bands around here. You all have brought the biggest crowd we've had in here yet!" after their 5/27/11 show.
