My second musical love, after bluegrass, is acoustic guitar blues and Lightnin’ Hopkins has been a big influence. “Travellin’ Mood “ is a country blues tune that I’ve sung for more than 20 years. With this group of jazzy acoustic players in place, I had to take a shot at it. I pay homage to myself! (It’s on the NGDB UNCLE CHARLIE AND HIS DOG TEDDY album.) Bromberg sounded like an old blues guy and Andy took us all to New Orleans Dixieland in the ‘40s with his clarinet.
