My favorite story to tell on stage... I captured this one for an audience of one, Jay Ungar, who patiently waited until the end to stand up and clap! He has been a fan of this story for years, and I did it while recording my Made in Brooklyn album for Chesky Records. Thank you, Norm Chesky, for letting me use this version. It was a shock when actress Brooke Shields told me she listened to this (my early version) every night during her last college year. I hope it “takes you away”, as it did for Brooke.
