A hit in the early ‘60’s when I heard it, and unlike anything else on the radio. It’s about an old guy and a young kid, and their friendship. This story has been in the back of my mind since hearing it. Why? Am I getting close to where “there ain’t no fields to plow”? Hope not…got a few more rows to dig.
