Bodie
John Lowell - guitar, lead & harmony vocals
Missy Raines - bass
Joy Adams - cello & harmony vocals

Here’s another attempt at creating a song that sounds old. I’ve been aware for many years of a quote from a young girl who was moving to the wicked, lawless (and very cold) town of Bodie, California from San Francisco with her family in the 1800’s, who wrote in her journal, “Goodbye God, I am going to Bodie”. If that’s not song fodder, I don’t know what is. Joy stopped by my house and we put down the cello & her vocals on a winter day. Her cello really conveys the lonesome feeling I was trying to get in this song.
