Jeff J. L. J Jefferson was born on june 21, 1976 in Lufkin, Tx but moved to Houston, Tx as a kid and has called it home every since. After going back and forth to the country for long summer vacations and also attending schools in small towns, J. L. J quickly realized that in order to gain huge success he had to be in Houston and start there. "So I became an official Houstonian and my dreams began". J. L. J got into the underground rap scene about 5 years ago when he and his good friend 'D' SHEEZY teamed up and formed E-LETE ARTIST RECORDS. Together they recorded their first mix cd for the streets of Houston and the legacy was born. J. L. J is a highly skilled lyricist who is surely to be at the top of the list amongst the best known artist in hip hop. He is destined to be the voice of Houston and strives to keep quality and good substance alive within the market for both down south music and the industry as a whole. Raising up out the gritty streets of northside Houston, J. L. J spits rhymes that are down to earth in nature and he always has realness, great delivery, and songs that anyone of any age can relate to. The hit single "Party On" is the first single released to radio off the original debut album Stay Focused and is bound to make noise and create an exiting buzz that the city of Houston and the industry as a whole will surely appreciate.

J. L. J is the premiere artist for today's hip hop generation. He is an ambassador of making good music that has substance and true meaning in the lyrics. With his catchy hooks and superb rhyming ability, J. L. J has music that captivates a worldwide audience with his craft. Working hard and non stop in the studio has allowed him to create hit songs such as: "Party On", "Droppin Hataz", "Can't Leave You Alone", and "Tap That", which are all guaranteed to do very well on the radio and indie charts. The first single to be released off the debut album 'Stay Focused' is the smoking hot, feel good song "Party On". When released to radio in mid february 2011, the hot single made some noise and gained major recognition amongst Pop, Urban, and Hip Hop fans alike. Before any radio campaigns the song was certified a hit by making it on the Coast2Coast Mixtapes Indie Top 50 Vol. 10 Mixtape. This very accomplishment to date is what prompted J. L. J to push it as a single for a radio campaign.

In the first week of it's radio campaign, "Party On" charted in the TOP 10 URBAN and TOP 100 POP for satellite, college, and internet tracking on the Mediaguide and Radiowave charts for Urban and Pop new artist the week ending 02/17/2011.

Was on the TOP 25 ONLINE BREAKOUT CHART four weeks in a row going as high as #15 on the chart for the week of 03/04/2011.

Nominated for an Indie-Music Top 25 Music Award. Also featured on their front page and Top Songs list as a New & Notable artist being played and promoted on Indie-Music.com's music page.

"Party On" received over 3600 total plays and streams on it's campaign and continues to gain more exposure thru the promotion efforts of J. L. J himself and other marketing/promotional teams that he strategically does business with.
