Dead Man's Shoes
Dead Man’s Shoes

His wind was short- but his mind still quick-
objects around playin such cruel tricks-
I saw a pair lyin on the floor- without his breath- well he’d need them no more.
A twisted thought, yes a mindless game- would I ever really be the same-

Should I really know what to do- I’ll never know what he’s been through- I know to thine they could never be true- Can’t walk in a dead man’s shoes, can’t walk in a dead man’s shoes.

If they could talk- I know that they would- tell every mans story- and just how that he could- with noone around- they were his only support- life’s challenge a disaster he’d court
No real man wants more than his share- a happy home and someone that cares- Knocked down around and so much more- never a chance to try to even the score-

No matter they’re size- you’ll know what I say-
they could never help me find my way-

Can’t walk in a dead man’s shoes, Don’t want to walk in a dead mans shoes, Can’t walk in a dead mans shoes, How can you walk in a dead man’s shoes.
